Webb County hurricane guide¶
The Webb County Emergency Management Program works from the County Judge's office at the courthouse in Laredo. It plans for hazards that threaten life and property and works with city, state, and federal emergency agencies. Webb County is far inland, but tropical storms can still bring heavy rain and flash flooding, so follow local officials during a storm and never drive through water on a road.

Every phone number and web address on this page was checked against official sources on that date. Details can change, especially during a storm. Always follow instructions from Webb County Emergency Management Program. In a life threatening emergency, call 911.

Evacuation centers¶
Open only when announced
Evacuation centers open only when officials announce them, and not every center opens for every storm. Check the official list of open centers before you leave home. Bring your own bedding, food, water, and medicines.
Webb County does not publish a list of shelters or an alert signup. During a storm, follow the County Judge, the City of Laredo, and local news for shelter information, and call the Emergency Management Program with questions. Do not go to a shelter until officials say it is open.
