Son La typhoon guide¶
Son La is a mountainous northwestern province and was not merged in the 1 July 2025 reorganization. Disaster response is directed by the provincial Civil Defense Command (Ban Chỉ huy Phòng thủ dân sự cấp tỉnh), which national rules set up in every province. Heavy rain from typhoons and tropical depressions brings flash floods and landslides, so follow the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting (NCHMF, Trung tâm Dự báo khí tượng thủy văn quốc gia) forecasts and your commune or ward authorities.
