Sulu typhoon guide

Sulu is a province in the Sulu Archipelago. A 2024 Supreme Court ruling removed Sulu from the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (BARMM), so it is listed here on its own. No provincial hotline is listed yet. Follow PAGASA bulletins and your municipal disaster office.

Checked on October 9, 2026

Every phone number and web address on this page was checked against official sources on that date. Details can change, especially during a storm. Always follow instructions from provincial disaster risk reduction and management office of Sulu (no provincial office name or hotline could be confirmed on an official page, so none is listed). In a life threatening emergency, call 911.

Evacuation centers

Open only when announced

Evacuation centers open only when officials announce them, and not every center opens for every storm. Check the official list of open centers before you leave home. Bring your own bedding, food, water, and medicines.

PAGASA tells people to know the concrete, reinforced multi-story buildings their local government has designated for evacuation. Evacuation centres are announced by your municipal or city disaster office and barangay officials. This page does not list any as open.
