CALABARZON (Region IV-A) typhoon guide

CALABARZON is Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon, south and east of Metro Manila, with long coasts on Manila Bay, the Pacific, and Tayabas Bay. PAGASA's Southern Luzon Regional Services Division and its NCR division issue advisories that have named these areas. Provincial disaster offices publish emergency hotlines. Follow PAGASA and your provincial, city, and municipal disaster offices.

Evacuation centers

Open only when announced

Evacuation centers open only when officials announce them, and not every center opens for every storm. Check the official list of open centers before you leave home. Bring your own bedding, food, water, and medicines.

PAGASA's storm surge page tells people in a storm surge prone area to identify the safest and quickest way to high ground, to know which concrete reinforced multi-story buildings the local government has designated for evacuation, and to prepare to evacuate as soon as their Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council or barangay officials advise it. If told to evacuate, bring an emergency kit and switch off electrical power and gas. A shelter or evacuation center is open only when your local officials announce it.
