Marshall Islands typhoon guide¶
The Majuro Weather Service Office, part of the US National Weather Service, provides forecasts and typhoon watches and warnings for the country. We could not load an official page for the National Disaster Management Office, so this page gives only the weather service for now. Follow announcements from the Government of the Republic of the Marshall Islands and the radio. The Marshall Islands are on this one page.

Evacuation centers¶
Open only when announced
Evacuation centers open only when officials announce them, and not every center opens for every storm. Check the official list of open centers before you leave home. Bring your own bedding, food, water, and medicines.
This page does not list shelters. This site does not show which shelters are open. Follow announcements from the Government of the Republic of the Marshall Islands and the radio for what to do.
Radio, TV and weather¶
Keep a battery or hand crank radio. When power and cell service fail, radio is often the only way to hear official updates.
