Bolívar hurricane guide¶
Bolívar is a department on the Caribbean coast that includes Cartagena, the Canal del Dique and a large inland river region, so it is exposed to coastal wind and rough seas, heavy rain and river flooding. The departmental risk management office was not confirmed on a loaded official page because the departmental site blocked automated access. Follow IDEAM warnings and the instructions of departmental and municipal authorities.
Checked on October 9, 2026
Every phone number and web address on this page was checked against official sources on that date. Details can change, especially during a storm. Always follow instructions from Bolívar department risk management office (exact name not confirmed on a loaded official page). In an emergency, call 123.
Evacuation centers¶
Open only when announced
Evacuation centers open only when officials announce them, and not every center opens for every storm. Check the official list of open centers before you leave home. Bring your own bedding, food, water, and medicines.
Albergues (shelters) are set up by officials only during an event. Nothing here says a shelter is open. Follow your department and municipal risk management announcements and the instructions of the responders.
