Puducherry cyclone guide

Puducherry is a union territory made up of small coastal enclaves, including Puducherry and Karaikal on the Bay of Bengal, with Mahe and Yanam elsewhere. The Department of Revenue and Disaster Management runs the State Level Emergency Operation Centre, with a 24x7 helpline on 1070 and 1077. The coast is exposed to cyclone wind, storm surge, and flooding, especially during the northeast monsoon. Follow warnings from the India Meteorological Department and instructions from the territory administration.
