Vinh Long typhoon guide¶
Vinh Long, in southern Vietnam, now includes the former Bến Tre and Trà Vinh provinces, merged under National Assembly Resolution 202/2025/QH15 from 1 July 2025. The provincial Civil Defense Command (Ban Chỉ huy Phòng thủ dân sự cấp tỉnh) directs the response to typhoons, tropical depressions, floods, and landslides, and the 112 emergency number connects to its standing office, the provincial Military Command. The national Trung tâm Dự báo khí tượng thủy văn quốc gia (NCHMF) publishes forecasts and warnings, in Vietnamese. This page has no exact provincial hotline because none was confirmed on an official page.

Every phone number and web address on this page was checked against official sources on that date. Details can change, especially during a storm. Always follow instructions from the provincial Civil Defense Command (Ban Chỉ huy Phòng thủ dân sự cấp tỉnh), with the provincial Bộ Chỉ huy Quân sự (Military Command) as its standing office. In an emergency, call 112, the national emergency number. It connects to 113 (police), 114 (fire and rescue), and 115 (medical emergency).

Evacuation centers¶
Open only when announced
Evacuation centers open only when officials announce them, and not every center opens for every storm. Check the official list of open centers before you leave home. Bring your own bedding, food, water, and medicines.
No standing list of shelters or evacuation sites was confirmed for this page. Evacuation is organized by the commune and ward People's Committees and the provincial Civil Defense Command under the "4 on the spot" principle (4 tại chỗ), which provincial directives repeat. Follow your commune or ward authorities and the provincial Civil Defense Command for whether to move and where to go.
Radio, TV and weather¶
Keep a battery or hand crank radio. When power and cell service fail, radio is often the only way to hear official updates.
