Itasy cyclone guide¶
Itasy is a region in the central highlands of Madagascar. Risk and disaster management is coordinated nationally by the Bureau National de Gestion des Risques et des Catastrophes (BNGRC). BNGRC lists a prefecture at Miarinarivo among the 18 prefectures it consulted in December 2025. Météo Madagascar issues the cyclone alert levels. BNGRC reported that Itasy was among the regions affected by cyclones Fytia and Gezani in February 2026. Follow Météo Madagascar and BNGRC, and the instructions of local authorities.
