Quang Ngai typhoon guide

Quảng Ngãi is a central coastal province. Since the 1 July 2025 reorganization it includes the former Kon Tum province and the former Quảng Ngãi province, so it reaches from the coast and Lý Sơn island to the Central Highlands. The Ban Chỉ huy Phòng thủ dân sự tỉnh Quảng Ngãi (Quảng Ngãi Provincial Civil Defense Command) was set up by Decision 511/QĐ-UBND of 31 July 2025 and is chaired by the chairman of the provincial People's Committee. The provincial disaster prevention site is kept by the irrigation sub-department and lists a duty telephone. The coast faces typhoons and floods; the short, steep rivers and the mountains bring flash floods and landslides.
