Analamanga cyclone guide¶
Analamanga is the region around Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar, where the Bureau National de Gestion des Risques et des Catastrophes (BNGRC) has its head office. BNGRC works with the Région Analamanga and the Préfecture d'Antananarivo on preparation for the rainy season and on response. Heavy rain can cause flooding in the city and nearby districts. Follow Météo Madagascar alerts and instructions from local authorities.

What to know in Analamanga¶
- On 8 January 2026 BNGRC received a delegation from the Région Analamanga to strengthen coordination on prevention and risk management, including the roles of each side in emergencies.
- BNGRC published an official situation report dated 24 March 2025 after heavy rain in the Analamanga region from 22 to 24 March 2025. This is a past event.
