Fairfield hurricane guide¶
Fairfield is the county seat of Freestone County, on I-45 far from the coast. The remains of tropical storms can bring severe thunderstorms, flooding, and tornadoes. The Mayor serves as the city's Emergency Management Director, and the city has its own police department.

What to know in Fairfield¶
- Fairfield has six outdoor warning sirens for severe thunderstorms and tornadoes. If you are inside when they sound, stay inside and turn on local radio or TV for details. If you are outside, go inside right away. The sirens are tested on the second Tuesday of each month at 9:00 a.m.
