DeWitt County hurricane guide¶
The De Witt County Office of Emergency Management, in Cuero, plans for disasters. Its coordinator is also the county's floodplain administrator. The county's emergency page covers both Guadalupe River flooding and hurricanes. The county says that when a hurricane threatens, evacuating is the smartest move, and that you should never ride out a hurricane in a car.
