Oxford County hurricane guide¶
The Oxford County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) in South Paris works with the county's towns. The county's hazard mitigation plan says that because Oxford County is inland, most hurricane damage here comes from heavy rain that causes flooding and road washouts, and that falling tree limbs on power lines have caused widespread outages. It also says thunderstorms with more than an inch of rain per hour can wash out roads and cause flash flooding.

What to know in Oxford County¶
