Washington County hurricane guide¶
The Washington County Department of Emergency Management, in Abingdon, coordinates emergency services with the county's volunteer fire and rescue organizations, keeps the county Emergency Operations Plan, and is the point of contact for the county's E-911 system. The county sends emergency alerts for incidents such as fires, floods, severe weather, and evacuation notices. Enroll before a storm. The county's pages do not give separate flood or shelter guidance.
