Sussex County hurricane guide¶
The Sussex County Office of Public Safety oversees emergency operations, emergency planning, and the Emergency Operations Center, and works with six volunteer fire departments and two volunteer rescue squads. The county's pages do not publish hurricane evacuation or shelter details. The county home page links its CodeRED alert sign up, so register before a storm.
