Wachapreague hurricane guide

Wachapreague is a small coastal town on Virginia's Eastern Shore in Accomack County, surrounded by farmland, woods, and water. The town is developing a resilience plan and held a public workshop in July 2026 asking residents where they have experienced flooding. It publishes no evacuation zone or storm surge page, so see the Accomack County page for emergency management, evacuation guidance, and alerts.
