Terrell County hurricane guide¶
Terrell County does not publish an emergency management page. Its county website lists the County Judge and the Sheriff at the courthouse in Sanderson. The county is in the Trans-Pecos region of far West Texas, and heavy rain from the remains of a tropical storm can bring flash flooding and severe storms. For emergencies call 911.
Checked on October 9, 2026
Every phone number and web address on this page was checked against official sources on that date. Details can change, especially during a storm. Always follow instructions from Terrell County Judge's Office. In a life threatening emergency, call 911.

Open only when announced

Terrell County does not publish a shelter list. In an emergency, call the Sheriff's Office to ask about shelter, and do not go to a building unless officials say it is open.
