Limestone County hurricane guide¶
Limestone County Emergency Management is the county emergency management contact named on the county website, which links to its Facebook page and to an emergency alerts signup. The county home page says the Limestone County Courthouse is not a certified tornado shelter and tells people to shelter in place. Heavy rain, flash flooding, and wind can reach inland Texas, including from the remains of a tropical storm. Call 911 for emergencies.

Evacuation centers¶
Open only when announced
Evacuation centers open only when officials announce them, and not every center opens for every storm. Check the official list of open centers before you leave home. Bring your own bedding, food, water, and medicines.
The county home page says the Limestone County Courthouse is not a certified tornado shelter and asks people to shelter in place. It also offers a form to register a private storm shelter location. The county does not list public shelters on the pages checked. Follow county alerts and do not go to a building unless officials say it is open.
