Hudspeth County hurricane guide¶

Hudspeth County lists an Emergency Management Office (shown on the county site as Emergency Mgmt. Office) at the courthouse in Sierra Blanca, and publishes its Basic Emergency Management Plan. The county page shows the Emergency Management Coordinator position as vacant and gives no phone number, so call the Sheriff's Office with questions. The county's pages do not describe flood or storm guidance.

Evacuation centers open only when officials announce them, and not every center opens for every storm. Check the official list of open centers before you leave home. Bring your own bedding, food, water, and medicines.

Hudspeth County's website does not publish shelter information that we could find. Shelters, if any, are announced for each event. Check county alerts and call the county or Sheriff's Office for current information. Never assume a shelter is open.
