Dallam County hurricane guide

Dallam County, in the Texas Panhandle, does not publish an emergency management page on its county website. The County Judge leads county government, and the Sheriff's Office handles law enforcement, the jail, and dispatch. The City of Dalhart runs its own alert center for city residents. The county is far from the coast, so storm risk here comes from heavy rain, flash flooding, and severe weather rather than storm surge.

Every phone number and web address on this page was checked against official sources on that date. Details can change, especially during a storm. Always follow instructions from Dallam County Judge. In a life threatening emergency, call 911.
