Comal County hurricane guide

Comal County Emergency Management, in New Braunfels, plans for disasters in this Hill Country county. The county says flooding and wildfire are its most likely natural hazards, and its plans include evacuating and rescuing flood victims and receiving and housing people who evacuate from Gulf Coast hurricanes. Heavy rain can close low water crossings quickly, so check the county's road closure map and never drive through flooded roads.
