McCormick County hurricane guide¶
McCormick County Emergency Services, on South Mine Street in McCormick, provides emergency medical services, emergency management, addressing, and enhanced 911 for the county and all its municipalities. Its emergency management function includes coordinating the Emergency Operations Center and helping with humanitarian needs and shelter.

Evacuation centers¶
Open only when announced
Evacuation centers open only when officials announce them, and not every center opens for every storm. Check the official list of open centers before you leave home. Bring your own bedding, food, water, and medicines.
McCormick County says its emergency management helps provide humanitarian needs and shelter, but it does not publish a shelter list. Use the state shelter page for announced shelters. Do not go to a shelter until it is announced as open.
