Edgefield County hurricane guide¶
The Edgefield County Emergency Management Agency helps the county, its towns, and residents prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters, and runs a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). It is an inland county with no coastal evacuation zones, and its site did not post an alert signup, hurricane evacuation zones, or a shelter list on the pages checked, so follow county and state announcements for storm instructions.

Evacuation centers¶
Open only when announced
Evacuation centers open only when officials announce them, and not every center opens for every storm. Check the official list of open centers before you leave home. Bring your own bedding, food, water, and medicines.
Edgefield County did not publish a standing list of shelters on the pages checked. Shelters open only when announced, so do not go to a site until it is announced as open. Check county and state announcements, and the state shelter page, for open shelters.
