Clarendon County hurricane guide

Clarendon County Emergency Management is in Manning and shares its office line with Fire Rescue and EMS. The county sends emergency alerts through Hyper-Reach. It is an inland county on Lake Marion and the Santee area with no coastal evacuation zones, and its site did not post hurricane evacuation zones or a shelter list on the pages checked, so follow county alerts for storm instructions.

Evacuation centers

Open only when announced

Evacuation centers open only when officials announce them, and not every center opens for every storm. Check the official list of open centers before you leave home. Bring your own bedding, food, water, and medicines.

Clarendon County did not publish a standing list of shelters on the pages checked. Shelters open only when announced, so do not go to a site until it is announced as open. Check county alerts and the state shelter page for open shelters.
