Chester County hurricane guide

The Chester County Emergency Management Agency, at 127 Saluda Street in Chester, coordinates preparedness and response for natural disasters and man-made incidents. Chester County is inland in the Piedmont, so its storm risks are tornadoes, severe thunderstorms, flooding, and the remnants of hurricanes. The county also acts as a host county for sheltering if the Catawba Nuclear site is evacuated. The county offers an emergency preparedness series on its site, including a page on evacuations.
