North Charleston hurricane guide¶
North Charleston says it is subject to flooding from Atlantic Ocean hurricanes and other storms, and names Hurricane Hugo in 1989 and Hurricane Floyd in 1999 as its most recent events. The city says its Public Works Department does not keep a large supply of sandbags and can only provide them to people who pick them up early. Use the county pages for county agencies, zones, and shelters.
