Evacuation centers

Open only when announced

Evacuation centers open only when officials announce them, and not every center opens for every storm. Check the official list of open centers before you leave home. Bring your own bedding, food, water, and medicines.

Hamilton County does not publish a standing list of storm shelters on the pages we checked. The county's preparedness page links to Ready.gov guidance on sheltering in place and suggests checking with your town to see where help is needed. For emergencies call 911. For questions call the Emergency Management office at 518-548-6223 on weekdays.
