Evacuation centers¶
Open only when announced
Evacuation centers open only when officials announce them, and not every center opens for every storm. Check the official list of open centers before you leave home. Bring your own bedding, food, water, and medicines.
The town says that in an emergency, shelters will be designated by the Town of Stanford and Dutchess County officials. Places it lists as potential shelters are Stanford Town Hall, 26 Town Hall Road, Stanford Free Library, 6035 Route 82, and United Church of Christ, 5928 Route 82. Shelters do not usually accept household pets unless clearly stated. Shelters open only when announced.
