Washington hurricane guide

Washington is an inland town in Berkshire County, far from the coast, so the main dangers when the remains of a tropical storm move through are heavy rain, flash flooding, and high winds. The town has no hurricane or flood page. It offers a Notify Me sign up for town notices, and the agencies on the Berkshire County page cover emergency management, alerts, and shelters.

Checked on October 10, 2026

Every phone number and web address on this page was checked against official sources on that date. Details can change, especially during a storm. Always follow instructions from the Town of Washington. In a life threatening emergency, call 911.
