Evacuation centers¶
Open only when announced
Evacuation centers open only when officials announce them, and not every center opens for every storm. Check the official list of open centers before you leave home. Bring your own bedding, food, water, and medicines.
The town says its Emergency Operations Center is at the Fire Station, and the Varney Building may be used as a warming center. If overnight shelter is required, the town names Mount View High School in Thorndike as the designated shelter. Sites open only when officials announce them. In a severe storm, call the Fire Station at 207-722-3015 to learn where to go.
