Lumpkin County hurricane guide¶
The Lumpkin County Emergency Management Agency in Dahlonega runs a preparedness, response, and recovery program for the county. Lumpkin is a mountain county, so the main storm risks are severe weather, flash flooding, and the remnants of tropical storms. Sign up for the county's CivicReady alerts, which cover severe weather, missing persons, and evacuations.
