St. Augustine Beach hurricane guide¶
St. Augustine Beach is an oceanfront city on Anastasia Island, so storm surge, high surf, and flooding are the main hurricane risks, and leaving means crossing a bridge to the mainland. The city has its own police department and picks up its own trash and yard debris.
