Lake Placid hurricane guide¶
Lake Placid is a town in Highlands County. Hurricanes here bring strong wind and heavy rain, and mobile and manufactured homes are very vulnerable. The town has its own police department and runs Lake Placid Regional Utilities for water and wastewater.
