Hot Spring County hurricane guide¶
The Hot Spring County Department of Emergency Management plans for, responds to, and helps the county recover from disasters including floods, tornadoes, and winter storms, and monitors weather and river conditions for the county's communities. The county is inland, so storm hazards come mainly as flooding and wind. The county offers free Hyper-Reach alerts, and a separate form gives notice to people downstream of Remmel Dam on the Ouachita River when dam releases rise above the standard rate.
