Clark County hurricane guide¶
The Clark County Office of Emergency Management, at 406 5th Street in Arkadelphia, coordinates emergency response for the county. The county is inland, so storm hazards come mainly as flash flooding, river flooding, and wind and heavy rain. The county offers free Smart911 alerts through its 911 dispatch office for weather, traffic, and other emergencies. Sign up before severe weather.

Evacuation centers¶
Open only when announced
Evacuation centers open only when officials announce them, and not every center opens for every storm. Check the official list of open centers before you leave home. Bring your own bedding, food, water, and medicines.
This county does not publish a standing list of shelters on the official pages checked. Shelters open only when the county announces them, so do not go to a site until it is announced. Call the county emergency management office or watch county alerts for current information.
