Surprise has a Monsoon Safety page, a Flood Protection and Resources page, an Emergency Management page, and an Alert Surprise page for emergency alerts through the Smart911 app. The pages checked did not show a published city phone number, so use the city website, and see the Maricopa County page for county agencies.

Maricopa County manages evacuation zones, evacuation centers, and emergency alerts for everyone who lives in Surprise. The Maricopa County guide has the full list of county numbers, radio stations, and recovery help.

• Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA): Alerts sent to WEA-enabled phones in the affected area. The county says you do not need to download an app or subscribe. Website.
