Cochise County hurricane guide¶

The county names wildfires, flash flooding, and severe storms and wind as its immediate natural threats. Its Flood Control District says sandbag stations are available at different sites, and points to the Highway Division for locations. Sign up for the county emergency alerts before a storm.

Evacuation centers¶
Open only when announced
Evacuation centers open only when officials announce them, and not every center opens for every storm. Check the official list of open centers before you leave home. Bring your own bedding, food, water, and medicines.
Shelters open only when local officials announce them. Check your county alerts and local news to find out whether a shelter is open near you, and do not go to a site until it is announced as open. If officials tell you to evacuate, leave right away.
