Aklan typhoon guide¶
Aklan is a province of Western Visayas. The provincial government site lists the disaster risk reduction and management offices in Aklan and hotline numbers for all Aklan municipalities. Typhoon and tropical storm warnings come from PAGASA through its Tropical Cyclone Wind Signals. Follow PAGASA bulletins and the instructions of your municipal and barangay officials.

What to know in Aklan¶
- PAGASA says storm surge becomes more dangerous when it arrives on top of a high tide, and advises people to prepare to evacuate as soon as the municipal disaster council or barangay officials advise it.

Evacuation centers¶
Open only when announced
Evacuation centers open only when officials announce them, and not every center opens for every storm. Check the official list of open centers before you leave home. Bring your own bedding, food, water, and medicines.
PAGASA tells people to know the concrete, reinforced multi-story buildings their local government has designated for evacuation. Evacuation centres are announced by your municipal or city disaster office and barangay officials. This page does not list any as open.
