Misamis Occidental is a province of Northern Mindanao in the northwest of Mindanao, on Iligan Bay and Panguil Bay. The provincial profile lists 14 municipalities and 3 cities: Oroquieta, the capital city, Ozamiz, and Tangub. The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) leads provincial disaster response. Typhoon and tropical storm warnings come from PAGASA through its Tropical Cyclone Wind Signals. Follow PAGASA bulletins and your city or municipal disaster office.

Open only when announced

Evacuation centers open only when officials announce them, and not every center opens for every storm. Check the official list of open centers before you leave home. Bring your own bedding, food, water, and medicines.

PAGASA tells people to know the concrete, reinforced multi-story buildings their local government has designated for evacuation. Evacuation centres are announced by your municipal or city disaster office and barangay officials. This page does not list any as open.
