Palawan typhoon guide

Palawan is a long island province in MIMAROPA, and many of its municipalities are on separate islands. The Provincial Government of Palawan lists its PDRRMO rescue line and the disaster office numbers of its municipalities on its emergency page. The province has 23 municipalities and one independent city, Puerto Princesa. Follow PAGASA bulletins and your municipal or city disaster office.

Always follow instructions from the provincial disaster risk reduction and management office of Palawan, which the provincial government lists as PDRRMO. In a life threatening emergency, call 911.

Evacuation centers

Open only when announced

Evacuation centers open only when officials announce them, and not every center opens for every storm. Check the official list of open centers before you leave home. Bring your own bedding, food, water, and medicines.

PAGASA tells people to know the concrete, reinforced multi-story buildings their local government has designated for evacuation. Evacuation centres are announced by your municipal or city disaster office and barangay officials. Palawan's emergency page does not list shelters. This page does not list any as open.

Cities and towns

Each city has its own services and some have their own alerts. The county's evacuation zones, evacuation centers, and emergency alerts cover everyone, in every city and in unincorporated areas.
