Bulacan typhoon guide

Bulacan is a province north of Metro Manila in Central Luzon, with its capital at the City of Malolos. The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) runs Bulacan Rescue and the province's 911 call center, and publishes a flood bulletin. The province also has Meycauayan City, San Jose del Monte City, and Baliwag City. Follow PAGASA wind signals and your city or municipal disaster office.

What to know in Bulacan

  • PAGASA says a Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal is a plain text warning for a land area that may have winds of at least 39 km/h within at most 36 hours, numbered 1 to 5, and that local winds can be much stronger on high ground and offshore.
  • PAGASA says storm surge, the abnormal rise in sea level during a tropical cyclone, can flood low-lying coastal areas, and that it is more dangerous when it arrives on top of a high tide. It advises people to check weather updates, prepare early, and evacuate to high ground when a mandatory evacuation is called.
  • On July 24, 2025, the provincial government said the PDRRMO reported a Yellow to Orange Rainfall Warning from 5:00 AM that day until 5:00 AM the next day, caused by the southwest monsoon and three tropical cyclones, which raised the risk of flash floods and landslides in vulnerable areas.

Evacuation centers

Open only when announced

Evacuation centers open only when officials announce them, and not every center opens for every storm. Check the official list of open centers before you leave home. Bring your own bedding, food, water, and medicines.

PAGASA's storm surge page tells people to know which concrete reinforced multi-story buildings the local government has designated for evacuation, and to prepare to evacuate as soon as the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council or barangay officials advise it. A shelter or evacuation center is open only when your local officials announce it.
