Evacuation centers

Open only when announced

Evacuation centers open only when officials announce them, and not every center opens for every storm. Check the official list of open centers before you leave home. Bring your own bedding, food, water, and medicines.

PAGASA's storm surge page tells people in a storm surge prone area to identify the safest and quickest way to high ground, to know which concrete reinforced multi-story buildings the local government has designated for evacuation, and to bring an emergency kit and switch off electrical power and gas if told to evacuate. A shelter or evacuation center is open only when your local officials announce it. Check the province and your city or municipality for shelter announcements.
