City of Karratha cyclone guide

The City of Karratha is on the Pilbara coast and includes Karratha, Dampier, Roebourne, Wickham and Cossack. The City says cyclone season runs from 1 November to 30 April and that it follows advice from the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES). It says low lying areas can be at risk of storm surge, and that DFES provides storm surge and flood mapping about 48 hours before expected impact, including whether relocation is necessary.
