City of Greater Geraldton cyclone guide

The City of Greater Geraldton keeps Local Emergency Management Arrangements and coordinates and chairs its Local Emergency Management Committee under the Emergency Management Act 2005. The City says cyclones can affect the north west coast from November to April, and that the Midwest-Gascoyne often sees flooding as a cyclone moves south. The Department of Fire and Emergency Services issues cyclone alerts, and police or DFES and the State Emergency Service advise if anyone must evacuate. The City also has Mullewa and Greenough bushfire advisory committees in its history.
