The City of Gold Coast runs a Disaster and Emergency Dashboard with information and warnings before, during and after a disaster or emergency event, and offers Gold Coast Alerts by phone and email. Its Local Disaster Management Plan is prepared by the Local Disaster Management Group for the Council of the City of Gold Coast. For life threatening emergencies call 000.

City of Gold Coast 1300-465-326 Also written 1300 GOLDCOAST. The City says for urgent or hazardous situations relating to City services it is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Evacuation centers

Open only when announced

Evacuation centers open only when officials announce them, and not every center opens for every storm. Check the official list of open centers before you leave home. Bring your own bedding, food, water, and medicines.

The City's emergency pages point to its Disaster and Emergency Dashboard for current information. Do not assume any evacuation centre is open. Check the dashboard and follow official announcements.
