Katherine Town Council cyclone guide¶
Katherine Town Council serves the town of Katherine from the Civic Centre at 29 Crawford Street. Katherine is inland, so flooding on the Katherine River is the main concern, and the council's own pages describe flood recovery waste services after flooding in March 2026. - On 12 March 2026 the council said it had activated additional waste services to help residents clean up after the recent flooding, including a temporary waste transfer station at 651 Stuart Highway. It is a past event.
