Cumberland County hurricane guide¶
The Cumberland County Office of Emergency Management (OEM) is the coordinating agency for the county's emergency management programs. It plans and trains for large emergencies and disasters and keeps mitigation plans for the county and each of its 14 municipalities. The county's emergency communications center, which answers 911 calls, is run by the same director. The county pages do not publish evacuation zones, a shelter list, or a public alert signup, so follow your town's alerts and the state NJ Register Ready registry if you may need help to evacuate.

Cumberland County does not publish a standing shelter list or shelter map on its emergency management pages. Do not go to any site until the county or your town says it is open. Check your town's emergency management office and local media for shelter information during a storm.
