Lincoln County hurricane guide

Lincoln County Emergency Management, led by the county emergency manager, plans for emergencies in this rural county. The county's hazard mitigation plan says most flash flooding here is caused by intense, stationary thunderstorms, that flooding can occur miles away from where the rain fell, and that there is often little warning. Remnants of eastern Pacific storms can bring heavy rain, so know which washes and roads near you flood and turn around if you meet floodwater.
