Wayne County hurricane guide¶
The Wayne County Emergency Management Agency (WEMA) is the lead local agency for coordinating emergency and disaster response for the county and the cities of Jesup, Screven, and Odum. It develops emergency plans, runs training exercises, and gives public information. Wayne County is in southeast Georgia a short distance inland from the coast, so tropical wind, tornadoes, and heavy rain and flooding are the main hazards.
